**BARBACK**

Barbacks assists Bartenders in all opening, running, closing and duties. Responsible for maintaining clean bars, stocking and cleanliness of glassware and dishes for a high-volume restaurant and/or nightclub bar. Markets the nightclub, restaurant, lounge, and pool and services offered to a targeted Guests base. Focuses on the development of a personal clientele list. Performs in a public relations capacity when promoting The Company. Works in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering superior Guest Service at all times.

GUEST SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES

* Interact and entertain Guests in a professional, cordial and exemplary manner

* Greet and serve Guests courteously and in a timely manner with an upbeat attitude

* Respond to Guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite manner

* Anticipate Guest needs

* Provide Guests with information and directions

* Working knowledge of portion control and product identification. Answer questions about our food, beverages and other Company functions and services. Inform Guests of specials and menu changes

* Adhere to all The Company Standard Operating Procedures

* Maintain all The Company Sequence of Service Standards

* Provide information to Guests regarding our venues, menus and pricing

* Recognize and cultivate regular Guests and repeat business

* Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area throughout shift

* Report any incidents of theft, vandalism, or violations

* Respond to Guest concerns/complaints regarding service or beverages and correct errors or resolve complaints with a positive attitude

* Ability to communicate in English with Guests and co-workers

**S**ERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES

* Take bar menu, beverage, food, and bar orders from bar Guests

* Organize and prioritize service per appropriate service sequence

* Prepare beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications

* Up sells and suggestively sells menu items, specials and beverages at all times

* Check beverage and food orders prior to serving to ensure that they are correct, properly presented and that special requests have been met

* Garnish any and all beverages as needed per Company Standards and Recipes

* Prompt preparation and delivery of beverage orders

* Handle multiple guest and tasks in an efficient and pro-active manner

Responsible Alcohol Management

* Recognize and acknowledge when Guests are becoming intoxicated and/or are intoxicated

* Monitor potentially intoxicated and/or disruptive Guests and promptly bring to a Managers attention

* Refuse further service of alcohol to intoxicated Guests in a courteous and safety-minded manner

* Comply with all state and federal liquor laws

* Comply with all safety and health department procedures as well as Company and/or departmental policies/procedures.

* Responsible for checking the identification of Guests and following all other responsible vending guidelines

CLEANing and maintenance

* Keep bar tops, floors and service areas clean/free of dirty glasses, dirty ashtrays, trash and any unnecessary items throughout shift

* Keep back bar clean and organized

* Keep service station, service equipment and storage clean and organized

* Ensure daily/nightly/weekly and opening/running/closing duties are completed

* Maintain opening, running and closing service equipment par

* Maintain opening, running and closing product and supply par

* Record and report any equipment failure and/or safety hazards to a Manager immediately

* Ensure that all tables and chairs are set correctly and clean

* Ensure proper rotation of all liquor, beer, wine and consumable items

* Maintain Company Safety and Sanitation Standards

* Clean all spills and waste immediately

* Safely transport service items from storage areas to back of house or bar / service station

* Disposes trash in proper receptacles

* Transports dishes and glasses to kitchen for washing

* Consistently maintain a well-groomed appearance, posture and hygiene

* Adhere to all SNHD safety, health and sanitation guidelines

* Safely transport service items to back of house for washing

* Sweep and mop as needed

* Washes and sanitizes bar mats

* Place all trash in proper receptacles

* Empty trash following proper sanitation

* Polish and wash glassware throughout shift

* Prepares all mixes and garnishes

* Gets change for Model Bartender as required

MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES

* Participates in in-house modeling programs, special casino events, Banquet service functions, and performs model/presenter tasks

* Participates in in-house marketing campaigns and advertising

* Assist in the development of promotional plans in order to increase business levels and sales

* Pose for pictures as requested by Management, appear in uniform or designated (logo) apparel for promotional activities at or away from venue

* Participate and appear in marketing, publicity or media materials

* Participate in marketing or promotional activities at or away from the venue

* Maintain Social platforms as indicated by management

* Post events, communications and participate in marketing campaigns via social media

* Able to submit Guest to the venues guest list

* Focus on the development of a personal clientele list

* Able to submit table reservations

**Qualifications:**

Required:

* Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* 2 years experience in a high-volume restaurant and/or nightclub

* 21+ years of age

* Possession of/or ability to possess a valid TABC card and FOOD HANDLER TRAINING CERTIFICATE

* POS systems knowledge

* Liquor knowledge: spirits, beer & wine

* Position specific duties knowledge

* Proper lifting techniques

* Guest relations

* Safe alcohol service

* Sanitation and safety

* High volume nightclub/lounge/restaurant/pool operations

* Beverage presentation

* Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, beer and mixed cocktails

* Able to work within a team environment
