Salary: $150,000 - $160,000 per year

We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Construction Attorney to join our robust legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in a high-quality work environment where you will be involved in a variety of construction-related issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling construction defect litigation and construction defense matters. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on complex and challenging legal issues within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction law, be a strategic thinker, and have excellent negotiation skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of construction-related issues, including contract disputes, construction defects, and construction defense matters.
2. Review, draft, and negotiate various types of construction contracts, including design-build, EPC, and traditional design-bid-build contracts.
3. Represent the company in construction defect litigation, providing robust defense strategies and solutions.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project objectives, identify legal risks, and provide strategic legal advice.
5. Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
6. Keep abreast of changes in construction law, regulations, and industry practices that could impact the company.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a member in good standing with the state bar.
3. Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Construction Attorney, preferably with a focus on construction defect and construction defense.
4. Proven experience in handling construction defect litigation and construction defense matters.
5. Strong knowledge of construction law, contract law, and dispute resolution.
6. Exceptional negotiation, research, and communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound legal judgments.
9. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
10. Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
