Job Description

**NOTE: Applicants must be based in CA, WA, NY, FL, or TX**

We are seeking a strong content designer with a mature understanding of design principles and how they should be applied to content libraries and content management systems. In this role, you will employ your expertise in content design, evaluate the new and existing CMSes, and ultimately optimize and ensure the usability of the team’s content libraries.

If you are the right fit, in addition to strong content design chops, you have well-rounded experience collaborating cross-functionally with UX researchers, product and engineering teams. You have strong data analysis skills and ability to distill meaning from large data sets to discern actionable insights and areas of improvement to the user experience.

This is a part-time project-based opportunity where hours could vary, but may range between 5-15 hours/week. Work schedule will be fairly flexible so long as clear expectations are set around availability and deadlines. We'll only be able to respond to applicants who meet the basic qualifications for this role.

Required:

  • Experience with UX design principles, specifically within app-based environments
  • Expertise in content management systems and content optimization
  • Ability to conduct UX research and analyze large datasets to inform content strategy
  • Experience working with product development teams, particularly engineering and product stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with user-facing content strategies and tools like Nova
  • Familiarity with designing content experiences for large-scale digital platforms
  • Background in usability testing and iterative content improvement

Pay range: $45-50/hr. W2, depending on experience
