SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD). Responsibilities Conduct environmental reviews and impact assessments for disaster-affected areas in compliance with FEMA and other regulatory standards. Integrate environmental considerations into disaster recovery and resilience planning. Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support compliance with environmental regulations, including NEPA and FEMA's Environmental and Historic Preservation (EHP) review. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement environmentally sustainable recovery strategies. Utilize FEMA's Grants Portal to manage environmental compliance documentation. Stay updated with FEMA policies, regulations, and training requirements. Requirements Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Geography, Historic Preservation, Archeology, Regional Planning, Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related field. 5 years of experience in a related field. Completion of FEMA courses preferred: IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step IS-253.a: Overview of FEMA's Environmental and Historic Preservation Review Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, planning principles, and sustainability practices. Proficiency in GIS and other tools used for environmental planning and analysis. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Work onsite in North Carolina. EOD Required.
