Your Opportunity As a GIS Intern with Stantec you will provide technical support which includes mapping applications, spatial analysis, and map production; as well as provide support for assigned projects. Your Key Responsibilities Use geospatial data to complete tasks using knowledge of Geographical Information Systems Managing GIS data and databases for larger multi-disciplinary studies. GIS analysis and mapping for environmental and infrastructure projects Develop web maps/applications. Supporting electronic data collection in the field. Develop GIS-based scripts, models and tools. Performs allocated project tasks within quality, time and budget requirements. Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials Basic understanding of general concepts of Geographical Information Systems Knowledge of ESRI software suite including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Field Maps and Survey 123 Knowledge of Python and Autocad Developing skills utilizing relevant geographic software programs Excellent written and verbal communication skills Developing cooperative skills in working efficiently with a team Education and Experience Completed or working towards a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in GIS or related field. Minimum of 0-2 years of experience. Position will work primarily in an office setting, but will have opportunities to work in the field.
