South College invites applications for the position of Adjunct Faculty Member for Epidemiology. This faculty member will lead a course(s) that introduces the basic principles and methods of epidemiology and demonstrates their applicability in the field of public health. Students will learn how to identify and evaluate sources of health information, calculate key epidemiologic measures, perform epidemiological investigations, and evaluate different study designs. The adjunct faculty member is appointed on a quarter-by-quarter basis. Instruction will be delivered primarily in an online format, therefore the faculty member shall be remote.
Requirements
* A minimum of an acceptable master's or doctoral degree in the discipline, or an earned master's or doctoral degree and satisfactory completion of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline. Official, sealed transcripts will be requested from both undergraduate and graduate institutions.
* Provide quality instruction in each assigned course within the approved academic program curriculum.
* Meet South College standards for classroom management, use of technology, grade submission, and records management.
* Prepare and implement teaching and evaluation strategies for engagement of students.
* Support student success through mentoring and tutoring.

* Experience and documented excellence in postsecondary teaching.
