Job Description

Marsh McLennan Agency's Healthcare Safety Consultant applies their risk management expertise to promote and improve clients safety culture through on-site safety inspections, written healthcare safety programs, and healthcare safety training presentations. They work directly with clients to identify, assess, and mitigate safety risk and exposure for workers compensation and professional liability through preventative, proactive policies, and procedures. The Healthcare Safety Consultant works closely with internal teams and clients to identify and streamline support services for each individual client.

• Provide safety consultation for assigned clients. Develop and review written healthcare safety programs across the healthcare space.
• Schedule and conduct client evaluations that include data analytics, historical loss runs, risk areas, and comprehensive reports and recommendations. Conduct on-site safety inspections at various client locations where operations may include, but not be limited to, healthcare and related operations.
• Assist with OSHA compliance and education.
• Provide risk management services and marketing information to potential and current clients. Attend client and team meetings as applicable.
• Present at healthcare industry conferences in areas of proficiency.
• Actively participate in organizational initiatives and support core values ; including but not limited to driving and promoting community involvement of others.

• Youre a healthcare risk management expert . Youre an experienced and skilled healthcare professional adept at leveraging your knowledge to advocate for your clients. We prefer that you hold a degree related to risk management and/or safety and a minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience. Plus, you are able to travel. We strongly prefer that you have 2+ years of safety experience.
• You love to learn. Youre earnest about filling in any gaps in knowledge through professional development. You also hold a license in nursing or other healthcare field.
• Youre an exceptional communicator. You are able to collaborate with key stakeholders at all levels. You have an innate ability to present concepts both visually and verbally with team members and provide timely and complete information to allow them to establish positive client relationships and efficiently manage their processes and workload.
• Youre team oriented. You maintain positive relationships with your colleaguesand you enjoy it.
• Youre that person everyone can depend on to make deadlines and to be accurate and complete.
• Youre tech-savvy. You boast extensive experience and working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other technology products.

The Perks:

We take pride in providing our colleagues with a competitive compensation package; we will honor all local and state salary thresholds. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. The salary range for this position is $60,000-$112,000/year. Additionally, the hired applicant will be eligible for a benefits package that includes paid paternity/maternity leave, medical leave, 401K savings and other wellbeing programs. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
