Primary Function : The certified mentor teacher will oversee students in the online learning lab. Additionally, this position may be further developed to include teaching a course in Art and/or Physical Education and Health.



Qualifications - Education & Experience:

1. Michigan teacher certification, with endorsement(s) in a core content area, including Art and Physical Education.
2. Experience in virtual education is preferred but not required.
3. Must be familiar and possess ability to work in various areas of technology.
4. Must be able to work with a diverse group of students.
5. Must exhibit a pleasant personality and positive attitude toward working with students and families, administration, and staff.
6. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Oversee student progress of all registered courses.
2. Act as the initial point of contact for student technical questions.
3. Coach students through their learning process to ensure that students are at target progress.
4. Evaluate student learning and implement interventions as necessary.
5. Manage the learning lab behavioral and academic environment.
6. Maintain regular and predictable in-person attendance.
7. Support the Oxford Community Schools vision and mission.
8. Perform other duties as required.

Reports to: Building Principal



Salary: Per OEA Bargained Salary Schedule, starting at $45,101; commensurate with education and experience.
