Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for answering a multi-line phone system and directing calls or taking messages.
- Open, process and distribute incoming mail/faxes.
- Greets clients, visitors and directs deliveries.
- Package and ship samples.
- Complete filing, order supplies and schedule meetings/travel.
- Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as received.
- Attend meetings to record minutes.
- Assist with Safety programs.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to HR Manager.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR & Safety files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions and reviewing timesheets.
- Assists with new hire orientation, recruiting and interviews.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement/anniversary celebrations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Associate's degree in related field preferred.
- Prior related office experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Organized and able to meet deadlines.
- Microsoft Office Package.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) if possible.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, bend, reach, climb stairs, squat, grasp, and twist for extended periods.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as boots, hard hats, safety glasses, and hearing protection when going into production areas.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- This is an indoor/office work environment.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
