Our HR Consulting Division is seeking an HR Consultant, with an expertise in Benefits and Leave Administration. This is preferably a full-time opportunity that is located in Macedon, NY, and offers a hybrid work schedule. The assignment will be approximately six months. As an HR Consultant with HR Works, your knowledge and experience in the profession is valued , allowing you to make  impactful contributions while maintaining a strong work/life balance . 

POSITION SUMMARY:
In this role, the Consultant plans and carries out policies relating to all phases of Benefits and Leave Administration activity for our client by utilizing expertise in a variety of areas, including:

• Data Tracking and Record-Keeping
• Full Benefit and Leave Administration, including 401k, Open enrollment, HRIS management, Broker and Vendor management, etc.
• Regulatory Compliance and Safety
• Compensation and Benefits
• Employee Relations
• Professional Development and Coaching
• Policy interpretation and Compliance

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Current knowledge of State and Federal employment law, including experience with practical application and interpretation of
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to research, analyze and make recommendations.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
• Flexibility, adaptability and a readiness to jump in and contribute.
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS and/or payroll system(s), ADP experience preferred but not required.
• Availability during typical business hours, Monday - Friday.
• PHR/SHRM-CP Certification or other related certifications desired (i.e. CEBS, CCP)

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• At least five (5) years progressive HR Manager experience is required, with extensive experience leading Benefits and Leave Administration within a mid-size organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business or related field, or associate degree with commensurate experience required.
