Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient production. Arrange to have appropriate records prepared and maintained (i.e., payroll, sanitation, chemicals, etc.). Work closely with other supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork in plant facility. Attend meetings as scheduled or called. Perform various other duties as needed or as assigned.Responsibilities:Supervise all team members related to the departmentEvaluate and direct personnel on shift in performing operation according to sound operation principles and company policies and proceduresStimulate maximum safety, efficiency and productivity of workersEnsure proper training of team membersAnticipate and determine causes of delays in shift operations and take appropriate actions to meet production scheduleThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.Work regularly in temperatures are near or below freezing (Coolers, Loading Dock Freezer) Extensive knowledge of Sanitation PracticesBe able to communicate verbally and in written form in EnglishBi-lingual helpful but not requiredConsult Plant Manager with all sanitation-related decisions and issues.Ability to follow instructions given by supervision.Ability to visually inspect equipment, and processes.Ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication.Ability to understand production schedules, safety signs, labels, and company policies/procedures.Available to work nightsWilling and capable of working SaturdaysLIFTING/ PUSHING/PULLING 10 lbs. -50 lbs. productionNEUTRAL WRIST-Repetitive hand motions and grasping.REACHING Reaching for product on the conveyor belt with hooks, reaching for boxes, or bagsSTANDING Constant standing for 8 to 10 hours per day, 6 days a week (Loading dock 7 days as needed per schedule.) (2 allowed breaks are scheduled based on the union contract and operational requirements.)Working Conditions:Production and maintenance settingsExposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knivesSlippery floors, cold temperatures, and loud ambient noiseAbility to work 50+ hoursGood attendance and safety records Comments:The schedule for this position is typicallyMon - Fri.
