Position Overview:
As a Senior Technology Program Manager with a strong understanding of Data and the ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technology stakeholders, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the successful delivery of complex technology projects and programs, with a specific focus on data-related initiatives. Your role will be critical in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical implementation, ensuring seamless communication, coordination, and execution across all involved parties.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project and Program Management: Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data-focused projects and programs. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies. Track and communicate progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery within budget and time constraints.
  • Data Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of data management, data governance, data analytics, and related technologies. Provide guidance on best practices, data quality assurance, data integration, and data security measures to ensure the successful implementation of data projects.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, including data owners, analysts, and subject matter experts, to understand their needs, priorities, and requirements. Effectively translate these requirements into actionable project plans and technical specifications for the technology team.
  • Cross-Functional Team Management: Build and lead cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, developers, and business analysts. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment to ensure successful project execution.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues related to data projects and work proactively to develop mitigation plans. Monitor and address risks throughout the project lifecycle to minimize any negative impact on project outcomes.
  • Technology Integration: Collaborate with technology stakeholders, such as IT infrastructure teams, software development teams, and database administrators, to ensure smooth integration of data projects into existing technology environments.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budgets and allocate resources effectively to ensure optimal utilization while meeting project goals and timelines.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements and optimize project management methodologies to enhance project efficiency and delivery success.
  • Communication and Reporting: Provide regular updates and status reports to executive leadership and relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in program/project management, with a focus on data-related initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, data governance, data analytics, and data security.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, JIRA).
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to align technology solutions with business objectives.
  • Experience in risk management and the ability to anticipate and address potential project roadblocks.
  • Prior experience in technology consulting or a technology leadership role is a plus.
